Is there any additional cost to me? How long will it take to get a Caregiver? Our staff will start recruiting efforts on your behalf as soon as you are set up as a client. We may make a referral immediately or it may take up to 5-8 business days. Our goal is to refer dependable Caregivers that will satisfy you and your needs. You can be assured that our staff will be working diligently on your behalf. Who will stay with me? Home Care and Companions maintains a list of individuals willing and able to provide services in all of the Central Nebraska communities and surrounding areas. We will suggest Caregivers from this list for your approval. The choice of Caregiver(s) is at your sole discretion. Most Caregivers are female and local to your area. Some have had nursing home or "In Home" care experience. Many have cared for family members or worked for other clients of ours in the past. All Caregivers have three positive references on file. What are their duties? It is your decision on what duties you want done and how these tasks are to be performed. A coordinator is also available to discuss your questions or concerns. What if I don't know how long I will need help? Our scheduling options provide you many choices that will fit your current and future needs. You may terminate services at any time and your fee will be prorated or adjusted to the hours you used. A refund will be made according to the Scheduling Option Rate. What does my fee cover? The fee covers your Caregiver's wages, all wage taxes and Home Care and Companion's fee. Is there any additional cost to me? NO, the fee is inclusive. The only additional cost that might occur is mileage when you ask your caregiver to run errands in their vehicle. All
