Home Care & Companions was founded by Ken and Robbie Kuehner in 1988 as a referral, scheduling and payroll service for those who desired to remain in their home while recuperating or for long term care. The area served in Central Nebraska includes Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings and the surrounding communities.

Our mission is to provide services that promote and maintain choices,control and dignity for our clients in their home.

Our service was established as a non-medical referral, scheduling and payroll service, not a Medical Agency. The Caregiver(s) referred to you by us are not our employees; they are your "Household Employee". This manner of doing business offers you a more cost-effective option; also, you have more control in your home.

As the employer, you will not have a different Caregiver each day. You have direction and control as to who provides your care as well as what, when and how services are to be preformed. See "Benefits to you."



Ken and Robbie Kuehner are long time central Nebraska natives. The strong commitment to family and their belief that, "Nebraska is the good life" is the basis of their desire to provide quality care at an affordable cost for those needing in-home assistance.
